JDRF WALK August 8, 2009

It is that time of year again for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation walk at MSU on August 8, 2009 from 8:30am to 12 noon.

Please join us in our mission to help cure Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes!

My daughter was diagnosed 3 years ago. This has been a tough battle for us, but we continue to fight and carry hope that one day there will be a cure. Since Jada has been Diagnosed she has been hospitalized 4 times! The last time she was in Peds ICU for catching a cold from school! Something so simple sent her to the hospital. She was connected to 2 IV machines, constantly on the heart monitor and blood pressure cuff. For the first 2 days she was completely out of it, no eating, and not even gettin up to use the bathroom. Her body was so dehydrated...

My daughter continues to do wonderful things like public speaking, volunteering as a Youth Ambassador and this year she was a Delegate for the Children's Congress 2009! She got to meet President Barack Obama!
